FAQ

What is the first step?

You may call or email me to discuss your concerns and ask any questions you have about my practice. I prefer to speak by phone for at least a few minutes before scheduling the first appointment. This gives us both an opportunity to determine if I am the best person to help you. If I feel another therapist can better meet your needs, I will help you with an appropriate referral.

What are your office hours?

I schedule appointments from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Monday through Thursday. Therapy appointments are 50 minutes in length.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, check, debit or credit cards.

Do you accept insurance?

While I do not provide insurance billing, if you would like to submit a bill to your plan, I will give you a receipt with all the necessary information and your plan can reimburse you directly. You may want to check with your insurance to see if you have “out-of-network” or “non-participating provider” benefits. Your insurance company can tell you what portion of my fees they will reimburse to you and whether you have a deductible that needs to be met before they begin reimbursement.

How long are appointments?

Therapy sessions are 50 minutes in length.

How long will I need therapy?

The length of time you are in therapy will depend on your goals. Some clients have very specific issues that can be worked through in in a short time, others pursue more in depth work that requires a greater time commitment.
